Tumble 22 is spreading its wings. (Yeah, I said it.) The popular downtown food truck currently sitting behind Star Bar will open a brick-and-mortar location next month at 7211 Burnet Road in the space formerly occupied by Twisted Root Burger Co.

“Since we opened the food truck, we’ve had an overwhelming positive response from the public; the guests love our food,” co-founder and executive chef Harold Marmulstein said. “So, this seemed to be the natural next step.”
The restaurant will include tableside service and be open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on until 10 p.m. on weekends. In addition to the legs, thighs, breast, wings and sandwiches you can order at the original trailer, guests will also be able to choose from a menu that includes raw and fried oysters; salads, duck fat fries, mac ‘n cheese, and house-made pies such as the Texas Pecan, Tennessee Buttermilk and Mile-high Lemon Meringue, as well as soft serve ice cream and shakes. Tumble 22 on Burnet will also offer a full bar.
There is no specific date set for opening, just sometime in February.
