A different sort of sweet treat will make its debut in Alpharetta this summer.

Batter Cookie Dough Counter — which opened in Ponce City Market last year — will launch a pop-up at mixed-use development Avalon every Saturday and Sunday starting April 8 and going through the end of October. The Plaza, Avalon’s central greenspace at the heart of the mixed-use community

Developed by Julie Abes, Batter, whose eggless product is made locally with heat-treated flour, will offer flavors include chocolate chip, sugar cookie, cookies and cream and salted caramel. The pop-up will have six standard flavors and one rotating “Flavor of the Weekend.” Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available, as well as a variety of toppings and sauces.
