This year marks the fifth annual James Beard Eats Week presented by Choose Chicago and the Illinois Restaurant Association, and more than 100 restaurants and their chefs citywide create customized dishes or menus inspired by the James Beard Foundation’s namesake chef, a pioneer of American dining. Below are some of the spots to hit during the 10-day celebration of the chef:

The Kitchen Chicago

The Kitchen Chicago is celebrating their chef peers as Chicago once again hosts the James Beard Foundation Awards. The culinary team has collaborated on a dish to commemorate the city-wide celebration by making Maple Leaf Farms Duck Two Ways-pan seared breast & confit leg with spring asparagus salad, rhubarb, charred ramps, pickled baby carrots & blueberry demi.
