In celebration of Mother’s Day, from Monday, May 6 through Sunday, May 12, aliveOne will supply guests with materials to make DIY Mother’s Day cards in prep for the holiday.

On Sunday, May 12, Chicagoans can treat Mom to a night of FREE pool and Living Room Sessions, a weekly comedy open mic from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that invites amateur comedians to take a shot at the stage. Sign up starts at 5:30 p.m. Following Living Room Sessions, Dead Comedy starts at 9 p.m. featuring a two-hour stand up showcase with some of Chicago’s best comics. While enjoying the show, guests can sip on an $8 “Becky” cocktail (normally $10) featuring CH Vodka, demerara syrup, fresh lime juice, and grapefruit La Croix.

Caffe Umbria (Logan Square and River North)

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Caffè Umbria in Logan Square and River North will offer a complimentary coffee drink for Mom on Sunday, May 12 (limit one drink per mom). Moms can choose any coffee drink including the new canned Nitro Cold Brew ($4.25). Made with Caffé Umbria’s Gusto Crema Blend and filtered water, this premium nitrogen infused cold brew is smooth, creamy and ready to drink with classic notes of caramel and milk chocolate with subtle fruit and brightness. Starting on Mother’s Day, guests can also try the new Nitro Cream mixing Caffè Umbria’s Nitro Cold Brew with brown sugar simple syrup and heavy cream for a rich yet refreshing caffeinated drink.

Chicagoans are invited to create Mother’s Day cards for the mom in their life all week leading up to the holiday. Easy Bar will provide the supplies and while crafting, guests can sip on daily specials like $6 glasses of wine on Monday, $2 and $3 select beers on Tuesday, $6 signature cocktails on Wednesday and more. Easy Bar also offers a half-price everything happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Estelle’s

Estelle’s invites guests to create a DIY Mother’s Day card on Wednesday, May 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Art supplies will be provided. Patrons can enjoy food and drink specials while they craft including $6 grilled cheese sandwiches and half-price signature cocktails.

Hakka Bakka Kati Rolls

For a pre-Mother’s Day treat, Hakka Bakka in the West Loop will offer all moms a FREE Bento Box with the purchase of any entrée item (one per mom; not valid with any other offer or promotion) on Saturday, May 11

Hakka Bakka’s Bento Box is great for guests who would like to sample a little bit of everything and taste more variety. Boxes include cumin flavored basmati rice, lentil soup, flatbread, a choice of protein (Chicken Tikka, Chicken Hariyali, Lamb Tikka, Lamb Hariyali, Paneer Tikka, Paneer Hariyali, Chickpea Tikka, Chickpea Hariyali), veg samosas, Indian sweet and spicy pickles, and an Indian salad.

Hubbard Inn

On Sunday, May 12, Hubbard Inn will host a $50 Mother’s Day Bottomless Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring a choice of mimosas or bloody marys paired with a brunch buffet. Created by Executive Chef Jason Hedin, the buffet will be stocked with baked goods, bbq smoked salmon, corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, a waffle station, an omelette station, a carving station with prime rib, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, ham and more. In recognition of Mother’s Day, Kizuki will offer all moms a complimentary mimosa with the purchase of any ramen (limit one mimosa per mom) on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12.

Chicagoans who treat Mom to Kizuki can choose from over 10 bowls of ramen. Perfect for springtime is the Yuzu Shio Ramen (French sea salt, kelp and Japanese citrus based), a unique, refreshing ramen unlike the traditional ramen stereotype of meaty and creamy. To prep for Mother’s Day, Remedy in Bucktown will host a FREE Mother’s Day Card Making party as a part of their spring “Weird Wednesdays” late night lineup. Starting at 10 p.m., Remedy will provide the materials for guests to create a thoughtful, homemade card just in time for Mother’s Day. While crafting, attendees will enjoy an eclectic craft cocktail list and a local brewery-driven beer list along with a $8 Miller High Life paired with an Evan Williams shot. Guests who arrive early will enjoy a half-off everything happy hour (excluding shots) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuscany Restaurant (Taylor Street)

Tuscany Restaurant on Taylor Street will feature a la carte lunch and dinner specials created by Executive Chef Victorio Padilla on Mother’s Day. Regular menu items will also be available. The full menu of Mother’s Day specials is available upon request and highlights include a roasted corn and shrimp salad, lobster linguine with grilled asparagus, tomatoes and garlic evoo, short rib filled ravioli with an herb beef demi emulsion, New Zealand rack of lamb, lava cake with mango gelato and chocolate creme anglaise and more.

Tuscany Restaurant (Wheeling)

Tuscany in Wheeling will host a Mother’s Day brunch buffet featuring eight stations created by Executive Chef Bolla Loza. The stations will include seafood, carving, omelet, Italian dishes, salad, antipasto, seafood and dessert. There will also be a special kid’s station. The regular dinner menu will begin at 4 p.m. Reservations are recommended. The complete brunch buffet menu is available upon request.

Weber Grill Restaurant (Chicago, Lombard and Schaumburg)

Weber Grill Restaurants in Chicago, Lombard and Schaumburg will offer a family-friendly brunch on Mother’s Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along with a la carte specials available all day. Highlights include Grilled Steak and Eggs, Chocolate Cherry Pretzel Bread French Toast, Double Bourbon Glazed Ham Benedict and more.

Guests who dine for brunch can also enjoy $7 mimosas and Weber’s signature Backyard Bloody Mary (Tito’s vodka, house made bloody mary mix served with smoked sausage, Gouda skewer and a mini Backyard brew, $10.50). Mother’s Day menu specials will include the following:
