On National Margarita Day, three local restaurants and bars will pay tribute to everyone’s favorite tequila and lime libation. Gather your amigos and say “salud!” with these ‘rita-centric specials on Thursday, February 22.
Cantina Laredo, offering modern Mexican cuisine in River North, will feature a Perfect Patron ‘Rita made with Patrón Silver and Patrón Citrónge for $8 from February 22-24 (regularly $12.25). In addition, Cantina Laredo offers a bevy of hand-shaken specialty cocktails, including low-cal “Skinny Sips” ($8.75) and signature Casa ‘Rita ($6 during happy hour, Monday-Friday 3:30-6:30 p.m.). Artango Bar & Steakhouse in Lincoln Square will offer Mango Basil Margaritas (tequila, mango puree, agave nectar, orange liqueur, lime and basil) for $7 each on February 22. Bites Asian Kitchen and Bar, located in Lakeview, will offer a $3 discount off all Bites cocktails on February 22, including the Bites Margarita, made with tequila, lime, ginger and salted rim ($7, regularly $10). Chef Derek Intapura’s Asian-American inspired menu is perfect for pairing and sharing, featuring beef teriyaki sliders, squid ink fried rice, tuna tostada, salmon ceviche, edamame gyoza, ramen, taro fries and more.
