Rojo Gusano’s all-new, fully remodeled Ravenswood location is now open, after being closed for remodel since last fall.
Previously BYOB, the new, re-imagined Ravenswood spot features full bar service, with cozy couches and seating areas to relax over craft cocktails, while enjoying appetizers including ceviche mixto, empanadas, and a variety of creamy salsas and guacamoles served with homemade tortilla chips.
The new Ravenswood location’s menu is similar to Rojo Gusano’s popular Albany Park headquarters, offering an elevated, global-fusion spin on the simple street foods of Latin America. Stand outs include taco mash-ups like Korean Beef BBQ — skirt steak marinated in bulgogi, with kimchi slaw, cilantro, Charred Butternut Squash — with roasted kale, queso fresco, and Pork Belly — with tamarindo chipotle salsa, pickled red onions, with side options including Esquites — with chipotle mayo, cotija cheese, powered ancho chile.
Rojo Gusano-Ravenswood — 4217 North Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL, 773-539-4398. Open Sunday to Thursday 5pm to 10pm, Fridays-Saturdays, 5pm to 11pm.
