The Signature Room
Those looking to skip the cooking this Thanksgiving can head to The Signature Room for a gourmet feast on Thursday, November 28th from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of the Signature Room’s sparkling wine, followed by a buffet of chilled seafood, house made salads, charcuterie and a chef-attended prime rib carving station. Diners can then select an entrée from a seasonal menu that includes roasted turkey, pan seared snapper and lamb chops served with classic side dishes, and finish the meal with a lavish dessert buffet. Prices are $80 for adults and $35 for children—4-12 years old (no charge for children under the age of three). Reservations are extremely limited and can be made by calling 312.787.9596.
Maple & Ash (Mavens & Aficionados)
Starting November 1st, the public will be able to purchase packages of three bottles each paired for both Thanksgiving. These will be available for pick-up at Maple & Ash (8 W Maple St.) as well as for delivery in Illinois from https://www.mavensandaficionados.com. Whether you’re entertaining or looking for a hostess gift, these packages save the trouble of trying to figure out which wines pair well for the occasion.
Thanksgiving Whites $75:
For those who prefer to shy away from red wines, or are holding on to the last chance to enjoy whites before winter sets in, here is a collection of complex and versatile white wines for Thanksgiving.
In this box, you’ll find crisp and fruity wines to balance out the spices in your cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie, while big and bold enough to stand up to the richness of your mashed potatoes or roasted turkey.

The Signature Room
In addition to the Thanksgiving dinner, The Signature Room invites families and friends to usher in the 2019 holiday season with its annual Brunch With Santa event on Saturday, November 30 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The 95th floor restaurant transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with a gourmet brunch spread from Executive Chef Cardel Reid, festive holiday décor, a variety of children’s activities, and photo opportunities with Santa Claus and his elves.

Aya Pastry
For those looking to sweeten up holiday and hostess gift giving, Aya Pastry
has teamed up with Mavens & Aficionados to pair Aya Pastry’s holiday items with wine. The holiday items can be ordered online at ayapastry.com between November 25 and December 15 with pick-up available at Aya Pastry (1332 W Grand Ave) between December 15 and December 24. Price TBD. The sweet offerings include:

- Peppermint bark
Joy District
Although it may be time to add some layers to our outfits, a little cold weather isn’t stopping Chicagoans from making “al fresco” happen. Back for a second year, Joy District invites guests to embrace the season at its Winter Wonderland rooftop with heated igloos, views of River North, and festive food and drink.
Starting mid-November, 5 to 6 igloos will be available to book for groups between 8 and 20 people, and are for friendly gatherings, corporate parties, cocktail hours and more. Offering refuge from the cold, igloos will come equipped with a heated faux fire pit and are decorated in shades of white, light blue and silver with string lights, ornaments, winter props, blankets and more.
Booking includes a “Winter Rooftop Menu” featuring cocktails served in ornaments, large format snowball fishbowls and mugs as well as festive bites. Joy District will also offer its Milk & Cookies Cart service where guests will be invited to decorate their own sugar cookies with an assortment of frostings, sprinkles and other toppings. Presented table side, the cart will also come with a Rumchata Ferris Wheel holding shots for each person.
