If Donald Trump’s presidency has driven you to drink, you can now at least imbibe for a cause.
George + Martha’s American Grille in Morristown announced Tuesday the creation of “The Im-Peach-Mint,” a vodka cocktail that’s anti-Trump and pro-rights, with a release billing it as “the modern day presidential cocktail that the country has been waiting for.”
Proceeds from the drink will go to the Time’s Up Legal Defense fund to assist in providing legal support for individuals who have experienced sexual harassment or related retaliation in the workplace. Time’s Up gained major recognition recently at the Golden Globes, with countless celebrities supporting the movement.
The drink features Claremont Peach Vodka, “Fire and Fury” jalapeno syrup, white peach puree, fresh lime juice and mint topped with club soda. The restaurant describes the drink as “a fruity and refreshing libation with bigly flavor that is sure to delight any American who has been truly exhausted by the political climate and the constant negative press covfefe of the last 365 days.”
Those who want to toast to Trump’s ouster have from the Friday to Sunday to enjoy the drink at the Morris County haunt, with the weekend coinciding with the one-year anniversary of his inauguration. The restaurant does promise that it may make a special appearance again if Trump is actually impeached.
